This year, as in the past, Lynn Smith Chevrolet, your leading Fort Worth Chevy Dealer,
and all employees joined together with Harvest House of Burleson to make the
Christmas Season brighter for those in need.
The dealership sponsored an Angel Tree and canned food drive that began on
November 15th and ran through December 15th. All of the Angels were taken from
the Christmas Tree and replaced with toys the kids had asked for. The tree was
surrounded with gifts for boys and girls of all ages.
A pickup truck parked on the showroom floor was filled with all kinds of canned food
and other non-perishable items which was delivered to the Harvest House food bank
to be distributed to those in need. The employees of Lynn Smith Chevrolet are proud
to have had the opportunity to participate in this very worthwhile program and look
forward to helping again next year.

Classic cars, candy, and Halloween is a great combination for lots of fun. Saturday, October 29th we had our Annual Lynn Smith Halloween Classic Car Show at the dealership.
The Burleson Lions Club added some extra fun with a wiener dog race and best wiener dog costume. We didn’t have as many registered cars and trucks as we had hoped for, however, those who did had a spooktacular time.
There were 40 plus awards presented including Best of Show Car & Truck, Lynn Smith Choice, Special Interest, and Late Model. Additionally, trophies were awarded for 1st & 2nd place best costume boy & girl, 1st & 2nd place best costume male & female, and 1st & 2nd place best decorated vehicle. The Burleson Lions Club brought out their mobile kitchen and sold hotdogs, chips and soft drinks.
On behalf of Mr. Smith and the employees of Lynn Smith Chevrolet, I would like to thank everyone who entered our car show or came out to admire them. I hope you enjoyed the show as much as we enjoyed putting it on.

There will also be prizes for Best Costume Boy and Girl, Best Costume Male and Female, and Best Decorated Vehicle. A total of 50 awards and trophies will be given out. So we’re sure that competition will be fierce, but always kept in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. There will also be contests, games, and maybe some candy and other goodies.
The Burleson Lions Club will be here with their mobile kitchen. They will be selling hot dogs, chips, soft drinks and water. The car show starts at 12:00 noon and ends at 4:00 pm. So decorate your vehicle, put on your Halloween costume and plan to spend a fun afternoon at our Halloween Classic Car Show.

The Chili’s St. Jude 4th Annual Car Show, Corvettes for Kids and Classics was held at Lynn Smith Chevrolet on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 9:00 am til 3:00 pm. The beautiful new and classic corvettes and classic cars began arriving early and by 11:00 am over 50 were displayed for everyone to look at and admire. The entry fee was an open donation of $25.00 or more. Food was donated by Chili”s and Gambino’s Pizza . Trophies were presented for Class Categories, Best of Show, and Viewers Choice. Everyone had a lot of fun and raised some funds for a very worthy cause. Thank you to everyone who came out and spent their Saturday with us.

Labor Day, hot dogs, and Lynn Smith Chevrolet is a winning combination. The Annual Labor Day Classic Car Show was again a great success with 158 registered show entries, plus several who brought their cars and trucks for everyone to look at and admire but didn’t want to get in the drawing for trophies. It was also a successful day for the Burleson Lions Club. They brought out their mobile kitchen and sold hotdogs, chips, and soft drinks. Over 50 awards and trophies were handed out including Best of Show Car & Truck , Lynn Smith Choice, Under Construction, Special Interest, and Late Model Cycle. A fun day was had by both car show participants and admirers. Be sure to mark your calendars for our next show. It will be our Halloween Show on October 29, 2011. It will be in the evening. The time for the show will be announced later.

On September 5, 2011, we will be having our annual Lynn Smith Labor Day Classic Car Show produced by D & D Rocking Rods. We always have a great turnout for this show. As usual, we will move our new vehicles out from under the tent so there will be lots of covered parking for your vintage cars and trucks.
Dale will be playing his 50′s and 60′s music and there may even be a good deal or two made during the show. Awards include, Best of Show, Best of Show Truck, Under Construction, Special Interest, Cycle, Late Model, as well as the Lynn Smith Trophy.
The Burleson Lions Club will be there with their mobile kitchen selling food and drinks. So get the family and friends together and plan to spend an afternoon at our car show. The show is free to the public, $10.00 to register, open class, and everyone is welcome. The show starts at 12:00 noon and ends at 4:00 pm. Come early to get the best parking spot.

The Chevrolet Malibu has always been a great seller for the Chevrolet brand. None of the model re-designs have been as anticipated as the one for the 2013 model. This new Chevy Malibu is even sportier and roomier than the current model. It’s new architecture loses 4.5 inches in wheelbase, for a sportier, elegant look. The overall interior space is increased more than 3 cubic feet relative to the current Malibu. The new Malibu has grown 2.7 inches wider, which have greatly increased shoulder room, by tightening the clearance between the headliner and the exterior roof panels.
Perhaps its most striking feature, after styling, is that it will be offered only with four-cylinder engines. That’s pretty forward thinking for Chevy.
